Types of Pilates sessions
Mat Classes
Group mat classes are are a cost effective way to experience Pilates. Classes are kept small so that you can be given plenty of help and correction. Exercises are taught progressively and there are a variety of class levels held at various times throughout the week.
Those who do not have any recent Pilates experience are usually required to complete an introductory class where you will learn the basic principles along with a postural assessment.
Each class lasts about an hour with a short relaxation period at the end, classes run in blocks of about six classes. Please see terms and conditions.

Private sessions
These sessions are held in the fully equipped studio here in Headcorn integrating both mat work and the use of the large Pilates machines such as the reformer. Each session is tailored to your individual needs with these classes being recommended for anyone recovering from injury, joint surgery, low back or neck pain or those who enjoy a more individual approach.
Anyone who has been referred from their medical practitioner ( GP, Physiotherapist, Consultant) may op into the low back pain programme. Again these are private classes specifically structured for those with low back pain. These sessions progress you from the initial assessment through to a programme of gentle exercises to strengthen your core muscles helping reduce back pain. These classes form part of the Back4Good programme www.bodycontrol.co.uk Your progress will be closley monitored and you may be given a programme of gentle exercises to practise at home when you are ready.
