We’ll be offering HIP Pilates classes starting in the New Year. HIP stands for: High Intensity Power Pilates. Why would you do this?  Regular exercise that achieves the heart pumping at a faster rate is beneficial in keeping the heart strong and healthy, increasing the number of calories burnt, improves your gross motor skills, muscle balance, coordination, balance, bone, and brain health, so the question would be why would you not do this? It’s also great fun.

HIP Pilates offers more dynamic exercises than the everyday Pilates class, it is faster paced and coordinates bigger ranges of movement. This type of Pilates still requires the teacher and client to work with integrity and skill to prevent injury and to avoid undoing the strong technique that  has been developed.
