Sometimes we offer speciality classes which might relate to a specific type of equipment, such as Pilates on the Ball, or a particular sport, such as golf, racket sports, running or equestrianism.
Pilates can give sportsmen and women a distinct edge over their competitors and increase the pleasure derived from participation – even extending a person’s participation in sport and making it more comfortable and enjoyable. Injury prevention is undoubtedly one aspect of sports Pilates, but flexibility and mobility can also be dramatically improved, as can stamina, power and endurance.
These classes target specific sporting groups, aiming to increase knowledge and understanding of how the body can benefit from Pilates practice and help improve a specific sporting performance and prevent injury.
These classes are not run on a regular basis, but will be advertised when necessary.
